reset account with a csv dump

Half a year ago I tried to delegate some of my SEO- and SEM-efforts to a company calling itself a pro.

However, according to my own analysis, the adwords account is performing far worse that it did before, even though I gave them several months to make their experiences with our branch-specific keyword-inventory.

I am now planning to stop that cooperation and reset the account to that prior status. I exported a csv-file form the adwords-editor in December, but I currently cannot import it, this option is blanked in the adwords-editor-menu.

What can I do instead of retyping any single line?

You re-arrange and copy and paste it into Adwords Editor. Update campaigns, ads, keywords and bids in separate copy/paste updates.

This won't delete any new additions to the campaign, but it will "reset" the status, cpcs, etc. without having to do it line by line.

So you want "Make Multiple Changes" on each tab (Keywords, Ads, AdGroups, Campaigns...)

Is the import option greyed out b/c you are attempting to re-create the account? I believe the import csv isn't active for "new/blank" accounts in AWE...

Yes.

The account is still active and i downloaded recent changes after starting the editor. Some of the (paused) current adgroups miss text-ads or keywords and are thus marked with an exclamation mark (which is one of the indicators of that company's sleazy way to work, if you ask me). Do I have to repair this before I can make any changes?

I regard that a "brute force attack";) because I'd additionally have to delete all newer campaigns, which were established after December.

Sry, you were right: It is possible to do so in just four steps, provided you have selected "all campaigns" in the adwords editor. I copy-pasted the whole csv-dump in one bunch just four times, all non-relevant lines in each step were simply ignored.

What tools other than the adwords-editor would you recon to take care of my semi-professional adwords account?
