Hi,

How or in which way can I find out in Adwords that a raise in budget will mean a raise in clicks and or visits.

Is there a calculation for this, any tools I can use for this?

What I`m looking for is that I can say if I raise my budget with 25 percent than you can expect this many clicks or this many visits. If you raise by 50 percent the amount of visits and clicks will be this. etc.

Can you maybe get this out of a report, or can you calculate this?

I`m kind of novice with adwords, thanks for all answers!

Hi philipo,

Welcome to Webmaster World.

It really depends on your current budget and if there is additional search volume you are currently missing. If you have "limited by budget" noted beside your campaign, you can go to the opportunities tab and it should have a budget recommendation. If you hover over the comments box under preview and then go to view or edit budget idea you have a tool to see what you could possibly get.

You could also run a report of impression share which should give you an indication of what you are missing.

the adwords traffic estimator might be useful in this case.

Hi Thanks for your replies.

There are to my knowledge 2 things:
daily budget and maximum bid.

- Maximum bid is directly related to your ad`s position

You can spend some more money to get higher ranking but if it`s already pretty high you will not get anymore clicks.

So here is the question how much more budget do you need to spend to get a higher ranking and will this also mean more visits (I don`t know hot to get if this data from Adwords)

- Daily budget is related to how often your add will show.

If keywords are capable of 500 impressions per day and you have with the current budget already the maximum of these impressions than raising the budget will not help. Correct?

So it would be necessary to know the maximum impressions per day per keyword to know what it is now to see how much more budget you can spent.

How much impressions do you still miss and how much more would it cost to get there.

Please correct me if I`m wrong.

In the end I want to have a report or message that is saying, there is so much more potential and you can reach it by spending so much more money.

But I`m trying to find out, how to get this data out of Adwords.

Where could I run a report of impression share?
Thanks.

If you run a campaign performance report, there are some columns you can add that will give you impression share, and how much is lost due to budget and how much due to ranking.

You can also look for a little chart symbol next to your bid in the Max CPC column; if it's there, that means the bid simulator will give you some estimates on how much more traffic you'll get if you raise your bid. Don't go nuts with that; it hasn't had a lot of success for me, but it might be worth trying out.

philipo: If you're blowing your daily budget on a regular basis consider reducing your CPC bids to extend longevity of display, or reduce search display grid by cutting down on broad/phrase match clicks which could be low ROI.

that's my $0.02

Hi,

I have to make a recommendation to someone how they can improve their visits and or clicks with adwords on basis of budget.

I see now there are two things which can improve the amount of visit or adwords:

-Maximum bid (directly related to your ad`s position)
-Daily budget directly reltated to Rank and how long the is displayed

Are there more?

So the question would be more how or in which way I can recommend someone on their adwords on basis of budget.

Preferably I would like to say, if you raise budget by for example 25 percent you can expect a such raise of visits or clicks.

But I still don`t exactly know how to do this with adwords or if it would be anyway possible to recommend this in such a way.

My experience has been that doubling click price does not yield double the clicks. Instead, it yields maybe 1/4 to 1/3 more clicks, and of course, each one costs more.

Hi Ember,
That depends of course what your goal is.
If it is more visits on your site becuase of branding, than it just depands on how much marketing spend you have.

My question is more concrete, how can I show the client that so much more money will give the client so much more visits or clicks.

I was expecting that there would be an easy way to get this information, for example a report. But till now I didn`t find a good way to do this.

Though the tips till now are usefull, so thanks for that!
