The takeover of a market and Google doesn’t seem to care.

As of last week someone has decided to take over the entire market WORLD WIDE of a single niche on both the search network and the content network. I believe he is running on Free Adword vouchers and is making up 20+ domains and accounts and running them at the same time. He burns though these domains/vouchers pretty quickly most only lasting a few days but still this is a WORLD WIDE issue and it’s still ongoing to this day.

In some case on the content network you can find a site with a 6 ads per ad-block and the first 5 ads are this guy’s ads. On the search network it’s just as bad. In some cases you have to go down 4 pages before you actually see real ads. Did I mention this is WORLD WIDE as well.

They are also using other company’s names in the Ads, they have a ripped/illegal off version of the product, a ripped off version of the site which they direct payments to their own PayPal account. So people are screwed if they try for a refund.

So with all these violation why isn’t Google cracking down on it instead of slapping banning/people who run a real business on their service!

Both Google, PayPal have been contacted and yet they don’t seem to care. Google phone support simply said to log a complaint with the sites themselves online. I mean what the hell?

So looking for a contact email address to email this scammer and what do I see only 1 visible email address which happens to be his Paypal address and it’s a Gmail account. Way to go Google!

So let’s just keep on slapping real customers who use real money while letting cheats use free Adwords vouchers, selling a fake product on a fake site prosper

Does anyone here know anyone who I can raise this issue with at Google, who might actually care? cause remember it’s all about the user experience!

while letting cheats use free Adwords vouchers,

Not long ago they were actively sending vouchers to existing customers which could only be used when opening new accounts.

Yeah, I remember getting a voucher a few years back.

Oh and this guy is still at it today. Another 4 new sites have appeared all showing at the same time.

Hell the sites are not even a day old (checked via a whois lookup) yet they are running on both the search and content Network.

Why can this guy get totally fake sites approved and running on both search and content network in less than 24 hours yet, It takes more than 48 hours for me to get approved let alone start getting any traffic. Truly what is going on here.

Oh and for clarification it's the same layout and content on ALL the sites.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to sort this out.

I have been getting a steady flow of these vouchers for a bunch of domain names I own. I would say I have gotten 10-20 over a couple month period. I don't use them because I know it would be against TOS if I did because I already have an account.

I was wondering of this would/could be used in this manner. I can see from Doven's post they can.

Since I last posted another 3 new domains not even a day old are up and running on both search and content which means atm there is 15 active domains running at the same time all running on the same keywords and running the same site layout and content.

As you can see this is just nuts.

And another new domain has come up.

Can anyone off any advice beside talking about the vouchers i think that are not least important part of this post. This is a multi-billion dollar niche I'm talking about that is over taken. it's not some small little niche!

If he has stolen content inform the content rights holders and advise them to file a dmca with Google and his hosting company.

How can you know for sure he is using adwords vouchers?

I don't know, I assume he is using vouchers or maybe he just has 30+ credit cards.

And another domain pops up. making his total running sites now at 27 domains. All running on the same keywords with the same design, same content, same web host, running world wide and All running at the same time.

But I'm gobsmacked that no one really seems to care? this could happpen to anyone's market and simply kill them off.

Google may well be investigating it. But they tend to take their time at it (which is what you want, in case anyone ever complains about YOU and they investigate YOU) and they will never ever ever tell you the result of their investigation (which is also what you want, for privacy's sake) So calm down. If he's still there in a couple of weeks or a month, then you might want to make another report.

I think "taking over a market" is stretching things a little. True they might be using unethical techniques to gain results but the end result is surely the same. Unless the entire industry is Dependant on Google Adwords to push traffic then I see this more as Adwords flooding as opposed to taking over a market.

As netmeg said Google don't reveal their findings in any investigation. They have to take a lot of things into account. If they just acted without knowing all the facts whats top stop competition from disabling legit accounts simply to gain an advantage.
