What to do with coupon for new account

I got a £75 Adwords coupon in the post from Google. Thanks to them, but it says it's only for newaccounts and mine has been going for a while - so can I set up a second account to take advantage of the coupon or is this counter to the TOS?

Meanwhile, if I can't use the coupon, is there a market for passing it on?

Ah, I remember the good old days of Adwords coupons, hundreds of dollars, you could use a bunch at once, and it didn't have to be on new accounts. That alone made going to pubcon worthwhile (back in the days when Google had a booth at pubcon, and the google reps would hand you $500 worth of coupons just for asking).

I have gotten a bunch of them but just tear them up. I don't think trying to open up multiple Google accounts is a good idea and don't want to be tempted with a coupon.
If you already have an adwords account my suggestion is just tear it up and not try to game the system.

I think the coupon is for the domain name on the coupon.

Bottom line, dr_paul, it sounds as you you have mistakenly been sent a coupon that you are not able to use. My apology for the frustration.

I would personally advise against starting a new account in order to use it - or selling it (which may or may not have been what you meant when asking if there was a market for it) as this can run one afoul of the Terms and Conditions.

I remember those days as well, wheel.

In particular, I remember the year when the coupons didn't arrive until the second day of the conference - and most of the folk that visited us would leave rather quickly after finding out that they had not arrived yet. We had many repeat visitors that year, who'd swing by every hour or two. :)

Bottom line is that G have totally screwed up and sent coupons to hundreds of existing customers. There is a thread on this topic in the Adsense forum.

Actually nothing in the flyer says that you can't open a new account, you have to search the net to find that out. I really must get around to sending mine to the local Trading Standards Office.
