anybody tried using spreadsheet to upload?

I am pulling my hair out - trying to upload 6000 adgroups, keywords and ads - had opted for auto CPA on this campaign - when i download the data as a spreadsheet it populates the max cpa field with my value - but if i try to upload spreadsheets this way i get an error - it says to populate the field with 'auto' but that gives me an error too

I am about to convert the whole account back to cpc - then upload everything with regular cpc bids - then convert it back to auto cpa as a workaround.

Anybody successfully uploaded spreadsheets through adwords editor with auto CPA enabled?

Doesn't seem like there was much interest in this one, but thought I'd post an update.

Still having big problems uploading csv files using adwords editor and conversion optimizer election. Starting to think the AE software just doesn't support this.

Example - looking at one of my old adgroups (this one had been established as a cpc, then later the campaign was switched to conversion optimizer), it has max CPC showing as 'Auto'. This makes sense because obviously there is no max cpc in a cpa elected campaign. But when I go to append new adgroups using csv and AE upload, if I enter 'Auto' in the max cpc field, it gives me
"error: your ad group contains keywords but has no maximum cpc search bid. Please enter a valid maximum cpc search bid." So, even though this appears to be a bug, I tried to enter a max cpc anyway - then I get "error: your ad group maximum cpc search bid cannot be manually set, because it is in a campaign using automatic cpc bidding or the conversion optimizer. please enter 'auto' for this bid."

So whichever way I append the record, it throws an error.

I thought about using the workaround mentioned above, but fear i will lose the history of what the conversion optimizer has 'learned'.

Is anybody using Adwords Editor with conversion optimizer?
