Google is testing image ads in the Google search results.

Google allowed two large companies to use ads with a short text (only one line of body text, not two) and a small square image. These were in position 1, 2, and 3 on the right side (there were regular text ads in the Blue Box).

I also noticed that ad #1 and #3 were from the same company. Google allowed a company to show up twice in the ads.

This shows up in a search for dog collars. (I don't work with a dog company; I don't even have a dog.)

I took a screen shot.

Is it perhaps product extensions, wherein they've linked their google merchant account to adwords?

Or they could be putting text right on the photo, I have seen that recently.

HI i can see this also, I think its the adwords expansion as mention a few years ago.

It seems to have only been given to one company within our industy but we are keen to get access to it.

anyone know how we do this ?
