I just saw a 404 issued to SpyFu related spider that pissed me off.

From now on, check the logs more thoroughly, and 403 (forbidden) to all of the spying tools!

Grrrr....

You can also use the excluded IP function in AdWords so these spiders never see your ads in the first place.

That's actually great idea.

I'm just not sure how it works when people use browser plugins like the one of SpyFu. Which IP address is used and what's being reported in the server logs. I just wonder...

I block em but I wonder if they originate from different IP's. The Spy sites that use your ads for every keyword you have make me wonder though. How they extract those to spy sites without causing clicks is another thing. Its come to the point ads are being used by so many scammers, other than what they were intended for, it makes you wonder if well over 50% of clicks are just plain worthless.
