someone must know. I cant get any help from google on this, even after posting in adwords editor help forum.
I had an old computer where i had set up my adwords editor with hundreds of configured campaigns, ads , and keyword sets with bid pricing set. with around 200k of keywords i was managing for a new master campaign. All of this was unpublished , so my google adwords account only contains other campaigns.
that computer OS got corrupt and would no longer boot. So I built a new machine with new HDD and install new XP again, finally all my programs back. and Install Adwords Editor.
My old HDD from old machine I connected as slave drive so I can access all file folders. I can navigate to the install directory C:\Program Files\Google\Google AdWords Editor
My plan was to copy this folder and replace the same folder in the fresh install - thus get my account settings and data back. Tried this but Adwords editor only seems to connect to my google adwords account and finds the published data (of my old projects)
it seems there must be another local path to diretory of some kind of xml or sql type bin that contains all the adwords data. (one would think!)
If I can find this file then I can copy from my old HDD to the new one and recover all my adwords campaings I was working on (unpublished)
I cannot for the life of me find any reference to where adwords editor stores the data on the local machine.
Can anyone kindly point me in the right direction as to where this file(s) may be so I migrate all data from old HDD to the new one.

data files are here C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\AdWords-Editor\Profiles\auto-backup
my adwords editor is up and running again.
