Based on the change that was announced last week:

[googleblog.blogspot.com...]

...do you see any change in AdWords generated traffic (number of clicks, impressions), and also a change in conversion?

It's maybe too early, and also a tough call as any day, week, or month can have its own traffic and conversion cycle.

Anyway, do you see any change?

Cheers!

Ads have been personalized for everyone for over 2 years (since spring 2007 [webmasterworld.com]). Ad personalization has been managed via cookies rather than account login.

Are you asking how the personalization of the organic results is affecting paid search?

Sure, but by default, it was OFF in the past - now it's ON by default.
Look what's happening in the "Search bro" board, folks are going nuts about it, mostly politically and about privacy.

Yes.

No, personalization of ads has been on by default for everyone since 2007. The only way to get around it has been to clear your cookies.

What Google changed recently was only for the organic results.

That's what I asked. How this change in organic results may be affecting the performance of AdWords campaigns?

Sorry about messing up with the first quote.

Ok. :-)

I think it's going to be difficult for most of us to get any accurate signals as to whether changes in the organic results are affecting paid search campaigns, because the paid side is already quite dynamic.

If AWA is reading this, perhaps he can check and let us know whether organic personalization affects paid search personalization and/or vice versa. The only way to know for sure is to ask the source.

I asked more if organic personalized results (being different than non-personalized) would affect how AdWords perform.

The only way to figure this is a long(er) term conversion comparison I think.

I just could not resist not to bring it up right away. ;)
