*Image* Ads on Google.com

Grief! How does everyone feel about these? I mean, they sure gobble up the limited Ad real estate and they've messed me up on a few keywords.

Fact check, please:

I'm not seeing any image ads, just Google image results the same as one would see in countless other searches.

This is a bit old and it is not available to everyone. Google is showing, to some, Google Base (merchant center) products in the AdWords section.

It is hard for me to explain here, so if the mod here allows, here is a link with pictures of both what it looks like to the searcher and how it works for merchants

There is also a push from the Google Affiliate program to get Google Base clients to participate in the CPA program. Our company was approached by Google to try it out. We've seen the image (product) ads on the right side as well...
