i know this is a repeated topic, but the Content Network...

i have a real pricise campaign starting...

only phrase match and exact match for my key phrases.

my state only.

im wondering if i shoudl even touch the content network.

i am really focused on getting a high ctr% and lead conversion.

i have not used the "managed placements" before, and it looks like alot of work...

anyone had success with this?

Managed placement is the way to go for the content network. Sure, it's a lot of work but nothing that's worth doing is easy.

so if i choose to advertise in teh content network, and choose managed placments, does that mean i ONLY advertise on the sites i select?

so what is Automatic placement then?

That's right, YOU choose the sites. I call that site targeting because you target specific sites. You can target specific pages too.

Automatic placement, what I call keyword-targeted content placement, is what most advertisers do and let Google find the sites for you based on your keywords. Most advertisers I know run it as part of their search campaign, which is not recommended. You should separate the two. In fact, if I use automatic placement, I separate into three campaigns called Search, Content Site Targeted and Content Keyword Targeted. I rarely use the latter.
