So there’s NO WAY this is legal!

I'm seeing something weird with a Adwords ad in the sponsored zones. I was seeing a Display URL without showing the domain. Instead it was a bogus marketing marketing message ! No www.yoursite.com/ad instead it read something like “click to find your doctor”

I don't see the Site name, or URL displayed anywhere! Are you kidding me? I thought hiding the Display URL: (The last line - the text in green) element was a big deal for the engines. Clearly I'm wrong.

Not everyone is doing this. And they already pulled it down from Google, But BING is still showing the site ad published way.

1) So, please educate a brau! What is the stance on Google, Bing. Yahoo on this particular game... clearly there's got to be some violation.

2) How did they do this? Using a Third-party Adwords manager tool like Coremetrics Search 7? or Omniture SiteSearch? There's got to be a loophole in the API or a glitch with the upload fields. I don't think we can do this on Adword's Site.

Anyone else seen this?

Did you see this on a search page or a content page? Is it a display ad or a text ad? It may not be a Google ad at all.

Google search results page. Also, these ads were running on both sponsor zones (top and right side)

Bing search results page - ads are STILL running on top sponsored zone.

Old news, it's a test only for the pharmaceutical industry.
