Google Advertising Professional Companies - Issues Pt1

Google Advertising Professional Companies

Google has rolled out its new Advertising Professional Companies screen; an area for those that offer Adwords' services to manage both customers and associated users.
For example, with my three years of managing a number of accounts, I have wanted to change the reliance upon my login as the primary user (what if I leave company: do i leave my login behind and all the history that it has attained?) and include new users with their own expertise in order to achive the company recognitions that Google offers.
My first issue is that it would appear that you have to commit career suicide by relinquishing your own history when you realign your allegance to a new business. It turns out, for example, that it is an account that can be a GAP (Google Advertising Professional) and not a login, which means that I would have to retake the GAP qual under the new MCC for it to count. Which doesn't make any sense!
So i am now stuck and would love, really love, to get your view; as an expanding business wanting to grow the number of GAPs accessing the accounts, how can we each maintain our unique identity (Account Management History, GAP and GAIQ included) while still becoming associated to a master MCC.
I have chatted with Support at Google and, having been passed around, hasve only been confused further.
Thanks guys!

I have found Google's Adwords team to be extremely useless and commiserate with your struggles. I read some news about them changing the rules around transferring your GAP qualification today though. You might have better luck searching for that than trying to get any customer service from Google.

I guess I don't get it. What's the big deal about taking the test again, if that's what it takes?

Thanks Michael!
Nutmeg, the problem is that you leave your history behind! Which means that you do have to take the test again after you have built up the time spent managing accounts and, of course, the managed spend.

Umm, ok. Guess I just don't think that's all that big a deal.
