I am running a campaign on a selected city with heavy traffic for a keyword, I chose only Google search network but Google is serving ads on partner sites as well.
I figured this out when I started monitoring the referral URL through an email notification as soon as the visitor comes to the website.
I have at least 30-40% traffic coming from junk sites, specially dead domains and job sites that have no relevance with my services.
I still have those pages open and I can see my ad right there at the second spot (at a high cost).
What should I do? I think there is something wrong for sure.

Jaunty
Go into the Campaign Settings and make sure you select ONLY Google Search, and do not select Search Partners or the Content Network. However, if you do this, you also risk your ads not showing up on sites where you might want to (the partner network runs the gamut from the sublime to the ridiculous) and as of right now, we can't exclude sites - so it's all or nothing.
You could also leave the partner network turned on, and then can go into Tools and look for the site and category exclusion tool, and exclude what you don't want in there too. It'll warn you that you aren't in the Content Network, but exclude 'em all anyway, because some of them apply to the partner network.
thanks for your reply. I want my ad to show up only on google.com server not even on partner sites like AOL or content sites that uses adsense.
I am quite sure I have not selected anything but google from adwords settings. I am wondering if anyone else has been tracking the referrals?
