What a horrible sentence!
I'd post the link or the screenshot in adwords dot blogspot dot com but know I can't.
Please, is this a non-functioning feature (or a misrepresentation on the Adwords blog) or is there some hidden trick to getting this to work?

chewy, I'm getting ready for my Quarterly Review with my manager, so posting on the fly in a spare moment. I'll check back later to see if this resolves it for you. ;)
You'll want to navigate to the ad group level to find the spreadsheet edit option - rather than the campaign or account level.

Actions listed are:
Create a Custom Alert
Manage Custom Alerts
Download
- I can download fine. This is not the problem.
The blogspot posting seems to show this would be available under a different tab than you say.
Hope your quarterly review goes well.
Find your campaign on the left.
Click on the little file folder to cause the ad groups in that campaign to drop down.
Click on the ad group you want (in the LEFT navigation)
Now, on the right side, go to the Keywords tab.
THEN and ONLY THEN, it's there in the More Actions drop down.
I too avoid the left hand panel as much as possible as it seems the screenshot from Inside Adwords post shows this as well.
With hundreds of adgroups, this feature doesn't make things much easier at all.
Am I misunderstanding something here? If we can do it at this level, why can't we do it at a higher level?
Also, can someone on the Inside Adwords crew make this a bit clearer?
Pardon the aside but isn't it interesting and ironic that unpaid volunteers (and complainers like myself) end up figuring this stuff out? And it ends up here and not in other fora?
Tip o' the hat to you!
And, thanks, netmeg, for getting there first. ;)
I'll certainly pass this feedback along in the 'New UI' section of the weekly Advertiser Feedback Report which goes out tomorrow - and, separately, to the 'Inside AdWords Crew'.
