Do you know if Google Adwords will charge me for repeated clicks from the same ip # ... and if they have a limit is it 3 or 5 clicks per 24 hrs.

Thanks

Google employs a technique that tries to recognize invalid clicks which are then not charged to your account.
Other than that, you pay for them.
Same IP, while suspicious, is not a reason to qualify clicks as invalid (per Google), as there are ISPs, companies and other Internet nodes that are behind the shared firewall, especially bigger corporations.
What Google does is that they look for a pattern that would sort a click as invalid.Besides IP, that should include browser, OS, date & time, search query, and who knows what else, in order to recognize the nature of the click.

This is what I think, not really that I know exacatly, and I hope they are thorough in this.

There is, or used to be when I looked at it, someplace in the AdWords interface where you can review all your clicks. I was surprised to see quite a few more clicks than I had been charged for, and the reason I wasn't charged for many them was obvious, such as 10 consecutive clicks on the same ad on the same page, or things like that. I don't actually remember what info was shown on that report page, but I did get the impression that they're very good at identifying invalid clicks.

Cross-referencing that data with my website access logs also showed that there were more direct referrals from my AdSense ads than I'd been charged for, so clearly Google considered some of them invalid.

Thank you for that info. Whatever parameters Google uses, i think they work well. I did not remember reading specifics concerning repeated clicks from the same ip for Google or Yahoo.

I do know some ad platforms that filter out anything over 3 clicks from the same ip in 24 hrs and i know others that allow as many as 5. I also know of one company that only allows clicks from unique ip #s every 24 hrs.

Maybe this thread will provide more insight into filtering repeats.

Thanks
