Beta interface too wide

Need to scroll to see everything. Why?

What's going on here? I'm running a decent resolution, yet I have to scroll considerably to the right to see all the columns. Am I missing something here?

I get that too.

Did you know that you can customise your view by clicking the 'Filters and views' link on the top right (below the date selection box), choose 'customise columns' and untick columns that are not of any interest to you.

This should shorten your horizontal scroll distance.

Right when I started using the new interface, I tailored my columns so that it would fit while viewing most campaigns (when there is a destination url it normally forces wide, but few of my campaigns use those for individual keywords).

But I feel like something changed last week, and now all of my columns are way out of wack. There are very wide spaces in between my columns and there is a huge gap in between status and clicks.

Like this, the interface is virtually unusable.

I agree, mine is the same way and even after I customized the columns (seems like they revert back at times instead of staying set). AARGH, drives me nuts. Maybe I'll get it right someday. Even my boss was hollering at the new setup today, LOL. Glad someone else doesn't like that as it is a real pain in the tail to be sure.

Just another reason why I prefer using Adwords Editor

Just for the record, I'll be passing all this feedback along to the right folks. ;)

Thanks, AWA. As stupid as it may seem, this truely is one of the most annoying things to deal with.

A pleasure, MadeWillis - and it does not seem in the least bit stupid to me.

I'm all for avoiding 'annoying' where ever and when ever possible!

Either the columns need to be resizeable or they need to be not so long. I could fit 10B impressions in there as it stands now!

Also, Status has like 3 extra inches of space for a word that can possibly be 1 inch max.

On the Adgroup level, Status is also too long. But I also can't turn of Search and Content Max CPC. These are pretty worthless IMO. I don't know anyone who uses these. Not a single keyword I've ever used works on a default bid.

Update: I did just realize I can hide the sidebar, which does make things better. No excuse though.

I'm in agreement with everyone here - I don't know what browsers you're all using but Chrome is the worst of the lot for the new UI - the columns are unbelievably wide. I love Chrome but I'm in Adwords all day and my patience is wearing thin - it's definitely making me use Firefox again more, really hope they sort this out soon

You mean this information actually has to be passed along to somebody in the know. Gimme a frigging break! When they say Beta they mean it. I ought to be charging for the info. This couldn't be produced in the US. These guys plan to usurp MSN at anything other than search. Yeah, right.

not sure, I use FF and all columns seem to be allright, but I don't like this new interface. I'd love to stick to the old one if possible. This is too colorful, CSS based layouts always suck IMO. It's faster when changing month/day statistics, but slower when going to another page. I use AE pretty much all the time, but with a new account it's super painfully slow.

I have 10 campaigns, <1000 adgroups each, and downloading just one's ststs takes 1,2 hours! So that's like 10 hours all statistics. While another old account I have 140K keywords, takes 30 minutes. Not sure why.

It won't help. I have a 22" monitor and it still scrolls.

correct, it's resolution that matters - and having a screen large enough so that when set to a resolution to pack it all on screen, that it can still be read. guess i should have said...

i'm budgeting myself for a wider montior that i can use with a much higher resolution and still be able to read it.
