Move AdGroups?

Is it possible to move an ad group to a different campaign

I've currently got all my adgroups within one campaign. I want to start what would have been adgroup level site and category exclusions. I don't really want to recreate all the adgroups from scratch. Is there a way to copy or move adgroups to a new campaign?

If you use AdWords Editor, its as easy as cut and paste.

go to Tools section and Download AdWords Editor, which allows you to just drag and drop, or copy and paste keywords, ads and/or whole ad groups wherever you want them

Replicated the campaigns and ad groups nicely. Just didn't replicate AdBuilder Ads. How would I replicate those?

Keep in mind doing so, at least last time I checked, is not technically "moving" them, but rather deleting them and recreating them so you lose history and they need to all be reapproved.

Last time I checked too.

I agree, that's not really "moving" them. Who needs the Adwords Editor for that? I could do that just as easily with Notepad.

I really want to keep the history if I move Adgroups to a new campaign.

I have Adgroups that do better either with or without the Search Partner Network and want to move them accordingly to different campaigns.

Used to be able to do it through the "Tools" page on the Adwords UI.

I mentioned this in a recent "Features I'd like to see" thread, so maybe someday..

What a pain. I've got to wait for the ad builder ads to develop a new history and run rate. Only seeing a few percent of the impressions I used to see. This is going to be annoying.

So are you suggesting the non ad builder ads no longer lose history when you "move" them?

Not at all.

My content network CPC text ads recovered 90% of their run rate in just a day or two. After three days I'm just starting to see a trickle of displays of the ad builder ads. The ad build ads used to account for about 90% of my impressions. Unless the recovery rate increases significantly it's going to take 1-2 months to get back up to speed.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Hopefully your ad builder ads will get back to their impression rate soon. I am eager to move some ad groups but have hesitated due to the losing history thing.
