Can the budget optimizer exaust my monthly budget in a Day?

Hi,

I want to enable budget optimizer for my Adwords account. So is it possible that it may exhaust my monthly budget in a single day and then stop showing ads for the rest of the month unless i increase the budget ?

I've never used this function, but always assumed the idea is that it would exhaust your budget by the end of the month.

While I suppose anything is possible, I've run it or my clients have run it at various times, and I've never seen it exhaust the monthly budget in less than 30 days.
