Same keywords, two accounts, seperate websites but same company?

I have the same company who has two very different websites that wish to run PPC for both websites however some of the keywords are the same.

For example - they both have the keywords blue widgets.

They need both PPC ads to show when people search for blue widgets.

They are:
2 Completely Different Websites
Will be set up in 2 separate accounts via an MMC adwords account but with the same company credit card

Will this work or do we need to set up both accounts with a different credit card so that both keywords show ads?

Yes it will work, you can use the same keywords with the credit card with 2 different account both accessible from the same MCC and both ads will show.

I was told by someone else that unless the credit card is different - even if the accounts and websites are different then Google will rotate any duplicate keywords.

Are you sure?

I have a client with three separate companies, that use many of the same keywords even though they are completely different aspects of the niche (service, products, and training) I had opened up three separate accounts, but Google made me merge them, and it won't run the ads simultaneously.

IMHO when you have the credit card set at the account level of the MCC and not the account level of each account within the MCC, you can use the same credit card for all of them.

Also, I have previously run multiple accounts for the same client but for two different businesses with individual websites. They had some overlapping keywords but ads were displayed simultaneously.
