Of course this is only happening to the bosses computer but whenever he does a search on Google and clicks on a Paid Listing (adwords ad) he gets an IE error page instead of the website he wanted to get to.

I tries it on several other PC's just in case Google was having an temp issue but all the other PC's go to the site once you click the ad.

His/our main concern is that because we run a very large number of google adwords he fears this is happeneing to many people thus we are paying for clicks that bring up an error page and not our site.

Has anyone seen this before? I think it's going to be specific to his PC but even so how do I fix it? I went into his IE options and set all the settings to match my PC which goes to the paid listings with n problem. BTW if he clicks on a non paid listing it works fine.

And his main concern is that it's happening to others besides him causing us to spend a lot of money for clicks that don't even make it to the site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad

Check your boss's computer for spyware/trojans/viruses with a good program or two like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. There are many trojans that hijack search results and/or PPC links and redirect them to shady sites. Sometimes the sites are inaccessible, and that leads to the IE error pages.

Is it a Windows box? Take a look at his hosts file in C:\Windows¦System32\Drivers\etc

Probably something in there is blocking the Google ads.

Once you get that far, then you have to figure out what put it there - malware, or anti-spyware, or... ?
