Hello there!

Currently, I am managing a rather large Adwords account with a number of campaigns in it.

We're looking to start a new Adwords account for another website we have launched in the same niche, and we would like to run similar ads with the same keywords as the original Adwords account.

Is there any way to export my current Adwords account and import it to a new one, allowing me to simply make changes to URLs/ad text rather than starting a completely new bunch of campaigns from scratch?

Thanks a lot.

Perfect for the AdWords editor - download it!

Aha! Funnily enough I've just downloaded that! If I download my campaigns and login to my new account it'll let me upload them to that?

Well not exactly. AdWords doesn't accept the CSV file upload (wish it would - seems like it did, once, but maybe I'm forgetting) And if you download in the native format, it will only want to upload back into the same account, not a new one.

It'll save you *some* time because if you download in CSV and then paste things back up, it'll be quicker than typing everything.

But there's no slap one or two click download and upload for what you want to do, I don't think.

All you have to do is open the original account in adwords editor. Then do a backup. Open up the new empty account then restore that backup. Then use the search and replace feature to make the URL changes and any other changes you need to make.

You can copy/paste via the editor between accounts.

Open account 1 in the editor, copy the campaigns you'd like to move to account 2.
Open account 2 in the editor, paste the campaigns.

It's simpler than exporting and re-importing via the editor.

Wow, I never tried that. Course, I don't move campaigns between accounts either.

Yeah forgot about the copy paste between accounts. All the copy feature does is copy a bunch of text and the past feature knows what to do with it. I have done before but this is not something that I do very often.
