Right, I'm new to adwords and have set up all my keywords and it's been going along at fairly slow rate regarding the clicks etc.

So, I have a nice website which I know is good for SEO but I just need to know that if I set my monthly budget as £30, will I get a £30 bill through this month even though at the bottom right of Adwords I have "£2.24" (for the total amount of clicks & impressions)

I realize that when I signed up I was able to set a preference for either £30 for a month for some other method *or* I set that I pay for the amount of clicks I get.

Because I'm only receiving little clicks (35,901 impressions, 13 clicks) & this has cost me a small sum of £2.24 I'm willing to up my budget from 30 to 60 a month, however I don't want to have a £60 bill through my door even though I have only £15 or so worth of CPC's/impressions.

The other query, is a member stated that you could do a report for where your ads are showing up on what website, so I'd benefit from that if I find out it's being shown in the wrong places. However, I am using the 'starter' edition so it may not have this feature.

Thank you.

First of all, I would recommend against using the starter edition.

The biggest reason for that is that it lumps the advertising for Search (the ads that appear on Google's own pages) with the advertising for the Content Network (the ads that appear on other people's websites) together, and they work entirely differently, and require totally different strategies and separate campaigns.

The other reason is that the starter edition uses something called the 'budget optimizer' - where you basically set your budget for the month, and it gets you as many clicks as possible, even if in some cases you're paying .02 for a click and in others 5.00.

The starter edition is weighted rather heavily towards making money for Google and not for you (I really wish they would either modify it or discontinue it)

I would *strongly* advise that you either spend some time learning how the standard version of AdWords works (there are tons of sites and videos out there to help you, as well as Google's own AdWords Learning Center [google.com] OR you find a Google AdWords Professional and pay them to help you set it up in the way that's most advantageous for your business.
