I cant seem to get past a Low Quality Score for one of my websites. The QS is 1/10. I created a new campaign with the URL of the low QS site and needed to place $10+ bids just to get the ads to show. So I copied the landing page and located it on a different site, without changing page text, meta tags, etc.. and created a new campaign to see if it was the page content or the web site address that was marked as low QS. It was the address, a 0.20 bid put the ad in positions 1-3. So I think its the domain name that is tainted. Is there any way to get over this without spending $10+ per click when its available for 0.20? What can be done about the QS without spending tons of money?

There is nothing that can be done other than trying out Yahoo PPC and setting up the site so it's easily flipped to another when Google slaps it.

Yes, you can not build a brand or anything flipping them but Google does not care because very content rich branded sites get slapped any way.

The alturisitc quality gurus and Google have decided that site is not worthy.

They always moan about giving visitors good content but then they turn around and slap it with adwords. So for me, Yahoo is getting another look and seems to be receptive to receiving my advertising dollars while Google is not so I just merrily play their wack the mole game all the while the site with content gets great organic listings but not for adwords. So, I have sites just for the adwords game since that seems to be how Google wants play these days.

As their market share declines, I will only smile since they have gotten way to big for their own ego driven good.

We have several sites running adwords campaigns, we don't do anything to get a low quality score, all of our landing pages are very relevant. We launched a new site a few weeks ago. I started the ads up like I always do except they weren't showing, quality score 1/10. I really scratched my head on it so I got on the live chat with google and the rep agreed our content was relevant and did not warrant the quality score we got. He investigated, 2 days later emailed me back said they had corrected the issue and our quality score was 8/10 and our ads were running. So if you are trying to do something legit it may pay to talk to google and see if something is up.

IT'S NOT JUST THE SITE.

I dunno how many times I have to keep saying this. It's how the landing page, the ads and the keywords ALL WORK TOGETHER.

the landing page.. exactly the same (images, text, folder location, etc..)
the ads.. exactly the same ( same text, keywords, etc..)

The only difference in the two campaigns was the domain it was hosted on. Neither domain name contained the keywords. I don't see how it couldn't be the website its hosted on since one site was a QS of 7 and the other was 1.

Then I would ask how long the new domain has been up - I've been noticing lately on new accounts that they generally start off at QS 7 until they've had some time to gather history, then they either drop or rise to their 'real' QS. That can take a few days to a few weeks.
