Hello All....

I am new in Google Adwords (PPC). Today my boss created Google Adwords A/c and tested one advertisement in Google.co.uk.

Actually I noticed him that our ad campaign is running in Google.co.uk. Then fist we pause ad campaign in Google Adwords. And then we delete Ad campaign. But still Google showing advertisement of the campaign in Google.co.uk

I also can see that there is 15 clicks but amount is 0.00 deducted......So what I will have to do to solve this issue?

Let me know.... Thanks in advance

Hi gunjanp - Did you happen to click "More Sponsored Links" to view your ad? If so, it's expected behavior for an "outdated" ad to show and you will not be charged for those clicks... If you viewed your ad in the usual SERP placement, then you may have reason to be concerned.

From Adwords Help:

What happens when I click 'More Sponsored Links' on a Google search results page?

Clicking More Sponsored Links on a Google search results page brings you to our Ad Search feature. Ad Search allows users to search through our active ad inventory for relevant ads and provides advertisers with more opportunities to reach their target audience.

Which ads show on the Ad Search page?

The Ad Search feature allows users to search through our entire active ad inventory for a given query. Ads are shown based on a user's search terms (keywords), so they are not filtered for language preferences. That means users may see ads in languages other than their own. These ads also include those that have already met the daily budget for that day, ensuring that all ads have the same opportunity for exposure. This ensures that users have comprehensive results for their query.

How does this affect my account?

Advertisers are not charged for any clicks that result from these ads. As an extension of Google's search results, these ads are ranked differently from competing AdWords ads. Clicks and impressions accrued by these ads aren't reported in your account, and their performance has no influence on your account or how our system calculates your keywords' Quality Scores.

Thanks Poster_Boy for the reply....

I can see thar advertisement in the top of Paid Listing..... Above the Organic Listing in yellow background......

Even I checked it in from different PC's and IP's and also IO checked it from UK based proxies.... but still I can see this advertisement.

I have paused that ad campaign before 10 hours.... still my ad showing in Google.co.uk....

So.... I am worrying about it.... can you tell me is it error from Google or our mistake?

can you tell me is it error from Google or our mistake?

In my experience, pausing or deleting a keyword, ad group or campaign will take effect within minutes... for it to take hours, let alone 10 hours, is not expected behavior. I would document as much as possible (screenshots w/ timestamps) and contact Google immediately.

Forgive me for suggesting what may seem like obvious things to check - but reading this really has me wondering.

Is it possible that you are seeing an ad that is not actually yours - but which is very similar? Did you happen to click on the ad to see where it goes?

Is it possible that while you have first paused and then deleted a campaign, it was not actually the correct campaign?

Yes, sorry, I know those seem really obvious. Sorry.

But I have seen both of these things happen in my time here at AdWords - and I know for a fact that I sometimes forget to check the obvious (is the toaster actually plugged in?), because, well, it's just too obvious. :)

Where you're not seeing any money debited, are you seeing any clicks and impressions, have you checked that the date range for the info you are looking at is correct (For instance if the date range is set to last month, you will see no impressions, because the impressions are happening this month)

Have you ever had another ad words account set up, did you just have the one campaign, 1 ad group, one ad?

Have you tried pausing the ad, keywords (individually) ad group and campaign, and seeing if that stops the ad showing?

Is the ad that is showing identical in every way to the ad you set up, including the display URL?
