Does search quality score affect content?

content doesn't affect search, but what about the other way around?

I'm not sure I understand your question.

If you are asking about your adwords search CTR impacting your costs/placement, then yes, it does.

If I have a campaign that does well on the content network, and I create a search campaign for the same site. If the QS for search ends up being low, will that negatively affect the original content network campaign?

For Seperate campaigns, only in the slightest of amounts. Overall account wellness is somewhat calculated in QS, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If it is worth running as search, then it shouldn't hurt you. If it gets 0 clicks forever, you may as well stop it anyways.

The QS for content, search, and placement is calculated independently and will not affect each other:
