Do avertisers get notified when their ads are blocked?

I don't use AdWords, but I do use AdSense on my site and considering the number of targeted ads I block (almost all) I'm curious about this.

When an advertiser places a placement targeted ad and the targeted site blocks the ads, does the advertiser get notified?

I don't think so. I never have.
