Hi guys, ive done some searching and have read about the double serving etc and that an only one ad of mine can be shown at any one time.

However I am a little confused about my position and how it effects adwords.

I am in a niche market and a specialist in creating a certain type of site. I have done this for 2 different companies who also pay me to online market their products and maintain their site. i do not get any affiliate income from these, I just maintain their site etc.

Is it possible that I can manged both companies websites and adword campaigne from one Google account and both adverts show at the same time?

Don't know, never tried, because it would be such an obvious conflict of interest I wouldn't even take two clients in the same industry, much less put them in the same account.

I work for one company, with multiple partners in the same industry, all of whom we manage ppc for. We run multiple simultaneous campaigns with many keyword overlaps, so yes it can be done and shouldn't cause you any problems as long as each company is in it's own campaign, and has it's own URL.

thanks Yoshimi. Yes both companies are a complete separate entity but their services overlap slightly. They arent competing head to head but both companies want Adword campaigns based on the same keyword.

Do I need to inform Google of this before hand?

I shouldn't think so, If you have a contact you can speak to them and just double check, but if you are an agency there is no reason why you wouldn't bid on the same term for two different companies.

Yeah, Just get an MCC set up for you to manage them under your one log in or manage them separately using their own log in's.

Google are OK with this. We have clients in the same industry, competing on the same words and have no problems at all.

I think you mean "account", and not "campaign"? I don't see how keywords in the same account would serve multiple ads for the same query.

briggidere what is "MCC"?

poster_boy, are you saying I need to set up a different Google account for each company?

what is "MCC"?

From Adwords Help:

What is My Client Center?

My Client Center (MCC) is a powerful tool for handling multiple AdWords accounts. MCC is ideal for large advertisers with more than one account and for third-party agencies, such as search engine marketers (SEMs), search engine optimizers (SEOs), and automated bid managers (ABMs). You can think of MCC as an 'umbrella' account with multiple AdWords accounts (a.k.a. 'managed accounts') linked to it.

MCC-users can:

* Easily view multiple managed accounts, including other MCC accounts, via the My Client Center view.
* See relevant information for all managed accounts in one place.
* Run reports across multiple managed accounts at once or download the My Client Center view into a .csv file.
* Use a single login to access all managed accounts.
* Create and link AdWords accounts from within your MCC account.

Owners of individual managed accounts can, as always, sign in to their AdWords accounts and maintain access to their login information.

This must have been what Yoshimi was referring to... You will need an account per advertiser - connected by an MCC - in order to serve multiple clients for the same keyword.
