On a specific keyword, I'm getting 20-50 impressions per day. However, in "Account Snapshot", at the top right side of the page, where the graph of the cost and impressions is, it's saying that my keywords are getting 33000 impressions per day! How is that possible? If you ad the impressions of all my keywords it should be something like 2000 ( my top keyword gets 6000 impressions), not 30000-40000!
Is 30000 the number of people who search for my keywords? Or 2000? And that keyword with 20-50 impressions per day, I would expect more people would search about that, not just 30. And my campaign is in all countries of the world ( apart Asia and Africa).
this is a new account in google adwords btw.
i have it. why do you say that? What's your point?
It's worth your while to read up on the Content Network - and for you to evaluate if you want to participate in it. There's a campaign setting in your account which toggles your participation on or off. Based on your background info, it's likely that it's toggled on.
With regards to Content, the answer to your question is no - an "Content Network" impression is NOT a Google search. Within "Google Search", an impression is a Google search and within the "Search Network" - an impression is a search, but not on Google.
Here's some initial info on Content Targeting for you:
What is the Google Network?The Google Network is a large group of websites and other products, such as email programs and blogs, who have partnered with Google to display AdWords ads. Advertisers have the option of running their ads on Google as well as the Google Network for no extra cost.
AdWords ads are placed based either on searches or content, so the Google Network has two components: the search network and the content network.
2)Why is that particular keyword getting only 30-40 impressions per day? I am sure it should get more.
thanks

Per Google Adwords Help Section on Content Targeting: "Ads are targeted based on content themes rather than specific keywords." So, if you add up your keyword-level stats, it will not add up to the totals - being that Content ads serve per ad group, not per keyword.

I'm not sure that anyone can help with this question... it's far too general (and it's against WebmasterWorld's TOS to identify actual keywords) & highly dependent on a number of factors.
The other problem i have is that on one of my pages, i have a small paragraph about smoking. And even though the subject definitely not about smoking, i do get ads about how to stop smoking etc. And it's annoying because my visitors are not there to read about smoking. I blocked those websites in my ads filter, but then other ads about smoking come up.
I included the paragraph inside this tags:
<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
but google is ignoring them so i am still getting the annoying ads. Any ideas?
Any ideas?
Sounds like an Adsense question - I'd reference the Adsense forum [webmasterworld.com] - lots of well qualified folks to help you on that topic!
