Does anybody else see this ever?

Hi all,

I have recently started running a small campaign for a new site on Google adwords - we have started the campaign on a very small scale so that we can monitor it and also the site is new so the organic traffic is not huge.

Our Google Adwords account is showing clicks for a keyword we have targeted - complete with 6 and 7 page views afterwords (via Google analytics) but the log files show no traffic for these keywords on the day in question.

I've done a quick check with the host and the support person did a few tests and the results from the tests we generated showed in the log file straight away.

So my questions are -
has anybody else experienced this?
are there any reasons this traffic wouldn't appear in my log files?
what sort of further analysis and testing could I do to confirm that this is possible?
or does it look like these are false clicks?

Any info appreciated! Thanks :)

Hi cazgh,

Please check out the page (from the AdWords Help Center) linked-to below, which covers the most common reasons for the sort discrepancy you mention.

Because the article is rather long, it is better to have you see the entire page, rather than to excerpt it here. It also includes some information on how to most effectively track traffic to your ads.

Why don't my web logs or third-party click auditing software match my AdWords report?
