Has anyone noticed a huge increase in clicks, especially in the content network? At the same time, I have also seen that the conversion rate per click going down. Especially since Thursday (when the stock market bottomed). Why so many clicks (usually its black friday and later), and why the low conversion? Economy? Stock Market? Anyone else notice the same thing? Double the clicks, lower conversion? Hopefully this changes after black friday.

Run a placement report and find out where those clicks are coming from - better do it quick, too.

I did do a placement report. The biggest clicks are coming from ones that I know are legit and have been there before. All the other clicks are coming in small chunks from other sites. So no big click site is contributing that I did not know about. Also clicks on search are up 100-200% in certain areas. Anyone else see this for about the last 7-9 days? On either search or content? Of course starting black friday I would expect a big surge. But not so early.

Not knowing your niche, I don't think anyone can answer those questions.

I'm in at least two dozen niches for myself and my clients, and haven't noticed anything unusual.
