How does the bad economy affect advertising campaigns

I wanted to see how the tough economy is affecting your advertising campaigns? Is traffic down signficantly? Is the conversion rate going down? Are CPC prices coming down as a result? Is there a difference between retail/more e-commerce campaigns and others?

Thanks so much - just trying to understand what others are seeing...

We are seeing a decrease of traffic of 18%. No real measurable lower cost per click, and conversions are down, but signups for our free newsletter updates are up.

Go figure.

Cabowabo - can you elaborate? Do you see 18% decrease on total traffic (not just ppc)?

I've seen a drop in traffic, but not to the degree I anticipated. Conversion and efficiency still remain about the same. Then again, the worst is likely still to come, so maybe I'm speaking too soon.
