I've receieived in the last 24 hours two emails from scammers. In general their intro is:

Hello Advertiser,

Our attempt to charge your credit card for your
outstanding Google AdWords account balance was declined.
Your account is still open. However, your ads have been suspended. Once
we are able to charge your card and receive payment for your account
balance, we will re-activate your ads.

Please update your billing information, even if you plan to use the
same credit card. This will trigger our billing system to try charging
your card again. You do not need to contact us to reactivate your
account.

Source code doesn't lead to Google Adwords.

BUT checking the Adwords site there is no obvious contact link to complain where hopefully they [AdWords] can terminate these lice?

Any direct link to AdWords to give a heads up?

In OZ, Banks work co-operatively with the average person to close this scum down.

Hmmm... none of which gives an AdWords:

[AdWords...] link [or whatever]

AdWord's site doesn't exactly hit you between the eyes with a contact link.

Some folks with power aren't really concerned to wipe scammers out.

Ad Words don't care? Then I'll just carry on trashing the usual trash. No skin off my nose. I'm just trying to be a good Netizon, prolly an old fashioned idea after 12 years.

Thanks for the heads-up IanCP.

Although this has indeed come up before, I did want to post with a couple of resources from the AdWords Help Center -- through which one may report such things:

What do I do if I receive a suspicious email claiming to be from AdWords?
[adwords.google.com...]

On that page, you'll find a link to this form:

Report Phishing to Google:
[adwords.google.com...]

Thanks again,

AWA

Thanks AdWordsAdvisor,

The landing page now seems to have been removed.

Please alert all Google webmasters to make "Phishing" contacts reasonably prominent on their respective sites.

I do try to be pro-active with the scams I receive every day.

Consider it done. ;)

You have just been quoted, verbatim, in this week's Advertiser Feedback Report.
