Adwords consistently serves ad from wrong ad group

My ad groups have keywords containing the part number of the products we are marketing. Let's say that product "Model T" has a part number of "12-111111" and "Model A" has a part number of "13-111111". I have a specific ad group exclusively for Model T and another ad group that is exclusively for Model A. I have broad, phrase and exact match keywords in each ad group.

Now, with all that said, if I search Google for "13-111111", it consistently serves the ad for Model T (yet it should serve the ad for Model A). I assume that this is happening because I am using broad match, but you would think that broad match would be intelligent enough to see that "13-111111" is on the keyword list of another ad group and show that ad. Especially considering that "13-111111" is designated as broad match, phrase match and exact match in the Model A ad group.

The only way I see that I can fix this is by removing all broad match instances of part numbers and leave only the phrase and exact match ones.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this as well?

well remove the broad match and i suggest that you also remove the exact or the phrase match (1 or the other)

Cyberandroid, why do you suggest that I not keep both phrase and exact match versions of keywords?

well i think that unless your using negative embedded match(and have them seperated in 2 adgroups) that the phrase match is also competeing for the same impressions and showing part of the time instead of your exact match.
id keep the phrase match personnally
