<email quote snipped - said that the account did not comply with the terms of service and advertising policies>
Is what they sent me. I'm not sure why, but my account was legit and fine.
Anyway to get it back? phone support are useless.

Have you re-read their TOS to see where you went wrong?
Did their telephone help give no clue as to what you have done wrong?
Either way, you need to start from the premise that you have done somethng wrong, and you need to identify the problem before they'll consider lifting the suspension.
They are denying themselves income - no-one does that without cause!
I'd gladly use Yahoo if their interface was nicer, but I'm loosing almost 50% of my potential revenue by not having adwords.
What I was considering was sending in a request to get ALL my information under the data protection act 1998 and maybe even have it removed under it as there is no requirement for them to keep the data. Then start fresh?

if the company is a monopoly I believe that's a different story
Not sure I follow your logic, but it *isn't* a monopoly, and even if it was, trying to force them (huge multinational) to do your bidding (one individual) is not even rational - let alone effective.
I suggest your whole approach needs rethinking.
Either you walk away (recommended) or you try to take a positive approach (I'm not sure you are in a position to do this).
I wish you well, but I fear you have a lost cause.
Good Luck!
