If you spend over a certain threshold in adwords every month (e.g. $10,000) do you get a special deal?

Nope no crazy deals - I think you get an account manager.

If you're an agency, however...

What benefits does an account manager bring? What does an agency get that a single user doesn't?

Can you somehow turn yourself into an agency? Is there a minimum requirement?

I would be interested in hearing what an "agency" would help with too...

I have an account manager, and he helps answering questions and gives advice
on how to optimize, but no changes in cpc rates if that is what your asking...

I am not aware of concessions in the sense of exceptions to the rules, or to discounts, but we could speculate that the really big advertisers might get special treatment.

We have an account manager and some are more proactive than others, e.g. recently we had an offer to review the campaigns and suggest more terms. We accepted some of the suggestions, so Google makes more revenue while we evaluate the performance of the new terms.

The other benefit was being able to get the entire historical data (deleted and current) in a spreadsheet. We had this data in dribs and drabs, but getting it in one file was great.

At Christmas and other times, the CEO gets gifts such as beach towels.
