Conversion Tracking on Template

Verified but not tracking

After many grueling hours of attempting to input the conversion tracking code into our "thank you" page we come up with a dead end. Being that there are no body tags in the template for our last page we do not know where to place the code.

The code so far allows us the acceptance of the cookie from our ad, which leads to showing the google site stats - send feedback icon, we have verified the code was inserted correctly and still we are not able to see the tracking. We are using the value as 1 just to get the ball rolling, daring not to attempt anything more technical.

Reading up on as many forums as possible we came across a few possible solutions; one of them being to create a .php file (ex: conversionTracking.php) only containing the Tracking code and then have code insert that file into the "thank you" page.

Might anyone have any suggestions or solutions for us to attempt?

It can take several hours (maybe even a day) for the conversion to show in the AdWords interface. Has it been that long?

If you are seeing the feeback link, after clicking on your ad from Google, it should be working. I haven't had a time where we saw the feedback link, and it didn't eventually show up in the interface & reports.
