Hey guys, got myself a problem here.

I decided to rebuild my adwords account from scratch, mainly just wanted to reorganize and rewrite all my ads. So I deleted everything and freshly created them all again, using the same keywords for each campaign.

Everything was fine, except 2 campaigns never started running, they just sat there with 0 impressions. These 2 campaigns for me in the past were very successful, and accounted for quite of big percentage of overall traffic.

I have spoken to a number of different reps on the online chat to try and tell them there is a problem. Every single rep gives me the same cookie-cutter answers:

"Your keywords are low volume search words, that is why there is no impressions" - Wrong... I showed them the past campaign using identical keywords, over 100,000 impressions in June.. since I rebuilt at the beginning of this month, 0 impressions. The response: "Try optimizing your keywords" - What? Am I speaking with a computer?

I then show the rep that on a search for my keyword on google.com, my ad does not appear with the competition anywhere... therefore it is not running.. the rep quickly changes the subject to something unrelated.

I then ask the rep to run a ad diagnostic tool on my keyword for that campaign. The tool does not list the campaign as running, as if it does not exist.. the rep quickly changes the subject.

It seems no matter how I prove there is something wrong with the campaigns, the rep does not care, and just keep saying it's low volume, or not optimized. I am going to go insane!

What should I do? These reps are useless, it seems they are only there shut us up.. I really want to get these two campaigns running again. Help!

Yep, they can really give you the run around! I guess this is where the old
adage really fits in, "if it aint broke, dont fix it"...KF

Ok, first thing you want to do is change your view to Show All instead of Show Active or Show All But Deleted

Do you see your Deleted campaigns now? If so, you can restore them.

First thing, if your new campaign has the same name as your old one, rename it - just stick a "new" on the end of it. Then pause it.

Check the box next to your deleted campaigns, and click on Resume - that should make them active again.

Let them run for a while and see if you are still getting the same impressions/clicks as you were.

After that, you might try moving over the ad groups to the new campaign a few a at time - and just pause them in the old one instead of deleting them.

That's what I'd do, anyway.
