I've just opened Adwords Editor to find..."A new version is available".

I can't install until the IT guys come and sort it for me (not enough privileges) so whilst i wait...is it better than the last update? I regret updating last time - turned out to make the Editor virtually useless.

Is there better in store this time?

Hi,

I didn't have any problems with the last update.

I installed the new version right now and it looks like it's working fine. At first sight it seems like they included the new content network features (http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/static.py?page=enhanced_campaigns.cs)

There were some issues. You might want to look over these threads:

When was the last time you used the editor? :) I think the update was a few weeks back?

I still dislike the time it takes to calculate all the changes and push it out...

this must be version 6.0.1

Has anyone had any luck importing an archived copy of their campaign?

Is there a secret to this, or does it just plain not work and I missed that bulletin?

Ya, I just got a notification that there was a new update today. I dunno, last time I got hosed on all my comments and whatnot.

I have to download *all* my accounts first, and that takes a lot of time, so I'm not going to mess with it today.

I sure hope they fixed the part about the stats slowing things down so much.

Hunh. The email I got says we don't have to make backups. And hey, they were right! (I made them just in case, but all my comments are still there - for once!)

I wonder if everyone is settled with the latest version of Editor. No problems?

I’m still at 5.0.1, persistently clicking on “No” for upgrade.

Thanks

Well I have one ad group that shows no keywords for some reason, and they're there in the online version. I exchanged some email from support, but as usual, their best solution was to completely re-download the account, which would lose my comments and unpublished drafts, and having been burned several times before, I don't necessarily *trust* the export function.

So.. I have to work on that ONE ad group online.

Other than that, it's fine.
