How do I turn OFF Expanded Broad Match?

Please, how do I turn off this EBM feature?

Google Help files seems to indicate that there IS a way to turn it off, but in my account, under "advanced" there is no such option.

I am REALLY looking forward to an answer soon!

Expanded broad match and automatic matching are very different things.

If you use broad match you cannot opt out of expanded broad match. But you can switch to using phrase and exact to stop that.

Automatic matching is an even worse expansion of expanded broad match, which you can opt out of

yup - EBM is way different than Automatic. I see that now.

Hmm -- if it is still in Beta, would that explain why I see it on some of my accounts but not others?

On the accounts where it is ON, we do get a nice banner advert telling us that this feature is now enabled that says nothing about "Beta".

Only when we get into the help center do I see "Beta".

I think Beta is close to over.

I'd run a search query report and see if you can find out how bad (or maybe good, but i doubt it) it is.

More than likely these will turn up under "other unique queries" so you may have to dig into your logs to get a more accurate picture of what's really going on.
