Google lets us choose what countries our ads run in. For some of us, we only advertise to our country, for many, we advertise to any person on the planet.

For those of us who have a worldwide appeal, are there any countries you WONT pay for clicks on (based on fraud, bogus clicks, or just simply countries that rarely ever CONVERT)?

I've identified countries with higher than average levels of fraudulent purchases (Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Russia) - but not fraudulent clicks. And, while conversion varies widely by country - I would more often associate a disconnect in language or higher shipping rates for the lower conversion - not fraud or bogus clicks...

I work for a software company that caters to customers worldwide. We do not show our ads in Nigeria or Singapore because of the very high rate of fraud we have experienced with our products.

Our ads show to many countries, even though the ads are in english only. The conversion rate is definitely going to be lower, but you have to weigh the risk vs the reward. In our case, i don't mind losing a bit of CTR if one Chinese customer purchases our product for over 3k. It's worth it to me.

However, i would absolutely suggest creating ads in the language of the country you are targeting. So this means if you want to be really efficient you should create separate campaigns for the various languages where you want to display.
