If you haven’t already heard the news about Google Tv Ads then your in luck and I am here to share the news with you. While I don’t know all the details about the program for myself yet as I haven’t tried it I hear its really good for business.

How it works
Using the familiar AdWords interface, you can launch a TV advertising campaign in minutes.

1. Select desired networks, dayparts, and programs.

* Choose as many networks as you like with no bundling and no commitment.
* Better manage a fragmented audience with easy access to small networks

2. Upload and select your ad.

* Check that your ad meets our technical specifications and then upload your ad to your account.
* If you don’t have an ad, use the Ad Creation Marketplace to connect with specialists who can produce your TV commercial.

3. Set a budget and bid the max CPM that you are willing to pay.

Use the traffic estimator for insight into how many impressions you can

* expect to receive at the budget and price you set.
* Pay the second highest bidders’ price for impressions delivered.
* Change your bid as often as you like.

4. Track and optimize.

* Learn when and where your ads ran the next day.
* See how many impressions your ad received.

To Fully understand the program we will all have to do some testing with it and report what we find, what do you think of Google Tv Ads? Do you believe it will be a big hit or is Google just wasting our time?

As with the print ads and the radio ads - they need to put some kind of disclaimer on it at the beginning that says "Unless you are willing to spend $#*$!X (some minimum figure only they would know) on this test, this probably is not for you" I have had clients get all excited about these things, spend money to have me research them, only to find out that the budget to even get started would be WAY out of line for what would essentially be a complete shot in the dark. It's put a few of them off Google advertising entirely.
