Is this company for real?

A client of mine was called by [a company trying to sell search engine advertising]. Has anyone heard of them?

The letter they received later from that company urged them to take immediate action to reserve their position on the top of the first page of Google.

No but the fact that they stated "only 3 have been reserved for us" should give a clue since Google does not reserve positions or keywords for anyone.

That's what I thought Kobayashi, Thanks for the reply.

(sorry buckworks, I didn't realize I couldn't post a quote from an email)

I guess that's just a marketing tactic to attract clients - most of them still have no clue how Google works, right... And again - most of them would not understand what it is if you try to explain them all the details over the phone. One of my friends signed up for a similar service (I believe) and is happy - he pays flat-rate, he's able to see himself at the top and his phone is ringing - he wanted me to take care of this, but I have my affiliate stuff going on, I wouldn't bother for extra $100-$200 a month anyway, hehe
