I am starting to wonder about the accuracy of all the systems on the internet that give you the average number of request per day on a certain keyword
First : I have used the keyword tool from google and it seems that for the same length of a green bar you can get 2000 request a month or 20 000 a month ?
Second : I used this website [freekeywords.wordtracker.com...] to check the number of requests for the following keyword " france tours " and the answer is 19 ? ( I am guessing is it per day )
However I have an issue with their number because I am currently doing advertising on google adwords , I have one add with " france tours " as a keyword and I get about 60 impressions an hour on 5 different countries
Question : can someone tell me who is right ? and who should I trust ?
Should I trust google impressiona, google keyword tool or wordtracker ?
How are impressions calculated just on the keyword or only if my add shows up on the page of the user ?
When I have a question about the potential of a keyword I usually throw it into a google/yahoo ad group and let it run for a couple of days (low CPC). This allows me to judge the potential reach. Yeah, it costs me a few dollars but the figures are real as opposed to unreliable otherwise.
There is one other thing I noticed and I don't understand it is the fact that when I type "france tours " most websitse on the first page have a very bad alexa rank , 6 million for the second link... that is really bizzard.
so I went on [siteanalytics.compete.com...] to see how many visits/ month this site gets and it says 342 visits / month... that is 10 / day for a keywords that is search 800 times a day
I don't understand this... is [siteanalytics.compete.com...] another website that I shouldn't trust ? because to me the number of visits should be 10 times higher at least.
I don't remember exactly how Compete gather their data but I know that it's not reliable either.
I don't know of any tool that'll provide accurate competitive traffic data.
