scenario: user goes to site, clicks register, site sends an email with a link to activate registration

question: can adwords track of this type of conversion? and can it associate the conversion with the keyword used by the user

added complication: the 'activate registration' link stays active for up to 10 days

[i'm guessing that the session id doesn't carry to the email and therefore adwords can't determine the original keyword]

cheers to the wise!

launch a confirmation page, after they click on the activate button in the email, where that page contains the adwords tracking conversion code snippet.

the info for adwords is stored in the user's cookie, it'll track.

yes, tracking within adwords can be drilled down to keyword involved.
