Just try to do some experiments and was thinking in opening another adwords account under my wife's name.
But I'm wondering if that might be frown upon.

Having read that information, if you are still uncertain if what you wish to do would be OK, then I'd suggest contacting AdWords support directly, giving them specific details of what you'd like to do, and asking if your plan would be acceptable within policy.
