I'm about to try Adwords again. Last time my ads were dropped. The price kept rising on the keyowrds. I couldn't keep my Adwords active.

Where's the best place to learn about strategy to begin an adword campayne? I have a website. Now I need to promote it.

There's an Adwords Ad when I Google Adwords that claims to tell all the secrets of how to keep your ad from being dropped etc. A 7 day email course. Can anyone recommend this to a new beginner?

What's a safe and proven way to start in AdWords for me, a beginner, and where can I find stuff to read to help me create a successful campayne?

Hi Familyman501 - I agree with phranque that the AdWords Learning Center is a excellent (not to mention free) place to start - as is the (searchable) AdWords Help Center which you'll find at [adwords.google.com...]

To be really straightforward about it, AdWords, like just about anything worth doing, does take some time and effort. It does respond really well, though, to a bit of study and 'practice'. ;)

Linked to below is one of my favorite pages from the AdWords Help Center. I hope you'll find it useful.

* Tips for success:
[adwords.google.com...]

The topics covered on this page - which are essential (IMO) to using AdWords effectively:

1. Identify your advertising goals.
2. Organize your account for maximum effectiveness.
3. Choose relevant keywords and placements.
4. Create straightforward, targeted ads.
5. Optimize your website for conversions.
6. Track your account performance.
7. Test and modify your campaigns to get the results you want.

I wish you the best of success with AdWords. ;)
