Hi there.

I've changed all the keywords on my current ads and replaced them by more exact ones. As I'm getting a better CTR will google use my previous CTR to determine the position of my ad or will it consider the new CTR.

Thanks in advance.

Position is based on the CTR of the keyword, so if it is a new keyword then it will start with whatever Google's algorythym deems the base CTR to be. Then as your keywords are in use, they will develop their own CTR for positioning.

Well I'm asking this because I've changed the keywords in the middle of the day and the global CTR for today is still beeing calculated using my old keywords.

Global CTR does not count for much really. CTR is calculated per keyword. As you have changed your keywords they will start from the default CTR.

In addition to sem4u's correct response, I'd like to clarify one point:

When one changes keywords in the middle of the day, and then looks at the date range of 'today', the stats that are shown must, by definition, include all information for the day so far - which includes the old keywords.

So, it is true that your overall stats are being reported using your old keywords. But moving forward, the new keywords will be included as well.

Hope that made sense. Sometimes I seem to have a talent for taking a simple subject and making it complicated!
