CONTEXT - This question is in regards to only Google’s Content network and specifically, on the variations of keywords to include in an adgroup.

I have read in detail Google’s commentary in their Adwords blog about how to create effective adgroups for the content network (eg: focus on a specific theme). And, I have gone through in detail Google’s examples of ‘bad, good, & best’ adgroups (eg: Adwords blog used Spiderman toys as the example).

MY QUESTIONS - When creating one adgroup to establish one specific theme, I have the following questions. For example purposes only, lets assume I want to create an adgroup regarding the theme “horror movie”. I will include the base term “horror movie” in the adgroup but want to know if I also need to include the following:

(i) Do you need to include plurals? Eg: adgroup would include the base keyword term “horror movie” and plural term “horror movies”.

(ii) Do you need to include possessives? Eg: adgroup would include the base keyword term “horror movie” and possessive term “horror movie’s”

(iii) Do you need to include antonyms? Eg: adgroup would include the base keyword term “horror movie” and antonym “horror film” or “scary movie”

(iv) Do you need to include spelling mistakes? Eg: adgroup would include the base keyword term “horror movie” and spelling mistake “horror moovie” or “horor movie”

Thanks everyone.

For the content network, I would just include the term horror movie (and you don't need to worry about match type) and I would also make sure my ad group was *named* horror movie, if that was the most important term I was targeting.

Hi Netmeg.
So, are you suggesting that I have an adgroup named HORROR MOVIE with only one key term -- HORROR MOVIE -- in that one adgroup?
Thanks!

I'd start that way, for sure.
