Scrubbing URLs

Last I was told AdWords does not like redirects. Is this still true?

I would like to scrub URLs to remove tracking. My uderstanding is that the URL with the tracking code will redirect to the canonical URL (without the tracking code). Seems easy enough, but will Adwords have any issues with that redirect? I've read related materials, but none mentioned if they experienced any problems with the redirect. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do any of the other ppc engines have problems with this?

Thanks

The only Adwords specific rule to consider is the relationship between your "Display URL" and the ultimate domain of your "Destination URL". As long as this rule is adhered to - redirects, for the purpose of tracking, are no issue whatsoever.

Thanks for the reply.

Have you done this for SEO purposes? I'm trying to fix as many canonical issues as I can and want to know if this is worth the time to fix and will this help our SEO efforts.
